Most web design agencies will charge $40.00 an hour or more for their services...and they will have a minimum. Probably 10 hrs. So, an average "plain jane" web site will often cost between $500.00 and $700.00 to design. Then there is the cost of maintaining/updating...usually set at about $40.00 an hour, also with minimums.
At Lone Star Web Design Ltd. we can design quality, effective web sites for a fraction of an agency's cost. We don't support a large staff of designers, account execs, secretaries and son-in-laws. I'm a former senior copy writer for one of San Antonio's top advertising agencies. I know how the costs can quickly add up.
Costs
- Our base cost is $50.00 to set up our economy web page.
- For more complex designs the rate is $20.00 an hour and we can give you an estimate of what the cost will be...and stick to it too! Generally, we're looking at 5 to 10 hours of work.
- Our updating cost is $15.00 an hour if purchased in packages. (It can even be free.)
- We can give you added bells and whistles too. Such as sound, animation, and video. The cost will be determined by the complexity of the project...the number of hours it takes to create. The hourly rate can vary between $15-20.
